This role requires NICU experience (3+ years), RN license in Maryland, CPR/NRP/STABLE certifications, and strong leadership skills; shift is 12 hours from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to use technology and equipment to perform job duties.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Eligible for or currently licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Maryland.
• NICU experience required (Minimum 3 years level III or IV NICU, charge experience required). NRP/CPR/STABLE required (can get NRP and STABLE upon hire)

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and provides direct patient care in accordance with nursing standards and the nursing process.
• Makes frequent patient rounds to ensure quality and safety of care and serves as a resource to staff and departments.
• Plans patient care assignments considering staff skill mix and patient acuity.
• Ensures a safe patient care environment and compliance with department standards and regulatory requirements.
• Mentors and evaluates staff, participates in staffing, onboarding, and unit huddles.
