Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking an experienced Antepartum/ Postpartum Registered Nurse to serve as a Full-time Charge Nurse in the Family Center. The role involves three 12-hour shifts from 7:00a to 7:30p, with weekend and holiday responsibilities.

You will lead nursing staff, supervise patient care, and participate in teaching, performance improvement and scheduling under the unit manager's guidance.

Qualifications

• Eligible for or currently licensed as a registered nurse in Maryland.
• BSN required or degree achieved within 5 years from start date.
• Currently CPR and NRP; C-EFM within 1 year if not certified already.
• Minimum 3 years postpartum/antepartum nursing; 1 year charge nurse preferred.
• Ability to lead and coordinate nursing staff and shift operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Perform frequent rounds to assure quality and service; identify improvement areas.
• Plan and assign patient care considering staff skill mix and acuity.
• Mentor and supervise staff; participate in scheduling and onboarding.
• Collaborate with physicians and multi-disciplinary teams to maintain standards.
