Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a Senior CEI Inspector to lead complex roadway and bridge inspections in the Memphis area. You will supervise inspectors, perform independent quality checks, and support contract administration and project documentation.

The role requires strong knowledge of transportation construction, plan interpretation, and field testing, with the ability to coordinate multiple teams and adhere to LAP and GDOT procedures.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive transportation technician experience with a State Highway Agency or consultant.
• Experience inspecting roadway and bridge construction projects.
• Experience serving as a lead inspector and coordinating the work of inspection personnel.
• Obtain any required certifications and pass tests for the position in specified time frames.
• Experience preparing, reviewing, and maintaining inspection reports, project records, and documentation.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in highway construction.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced construction engineering inspection on roadway and bridge projects.
• Conduct materials sampling, inspection, and testing for compliance.
• Serve as Lead Project Inspector and supervise lower-level inspectors.
• Monitor construction processes for compliance with plans and specs.
• Perform contract administration duties and prepare project documentation.
• Attend project meetings and assist with project close-out activities.
• Assist with administration and management of local let projects.
