Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior CEI Inspector for the Cartersville, GA area to lead complex construction inspection on transportation projects.

You will supervise inspectors, conduct advanced inspections, and support contract administration and project documentation. The role requires strong knowledge of roadway and bridge construction, experience leading teams, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of transportation technician experience.
• Non-Engineering/Construction Management degree with 4+ years of transportation technician experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Experience inspecting roadway and bridge construction projects.
• Experience serving as a lead inspector and coordinating inspection personnel.
• Ability to obtain GDOT certifications and pass qualification tests.
• Experience with preparing inspection reports and project documentation.
• Knowledge of highway materials and construction methods.
• Ability to read and explain plans and specs.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency with computers and office equipment.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced-level construction engineering inspection on roadway and bridge projects.
• Conduct materials sampling, inspection, and testing per project requirements.
• Lead Project Inspector, conduct independent inspections of roadway and structure work.
• Supervise lower-level inspectors and guide their assignments.
• Monitor construction processes for compliance with plans and specs.
• Exercise independent judgment in evaluating construction activities.
• Perform contract administration duties, including field measurements and documentation.
• Participate in meetings and project reviews.
• Assist with administration of locally administered transportation projects.
• Review invoiced work for accuracy and monitor project funding.
