Job summary

Reyes Holdings is hiring for a CDL-A Field Trainer/Driver role in the DC area. The position features a 1st shift, Tuesday–Friday schedule with weekends off, and home nightly deliveries. Starting pay is $30–$32 per hour, with full benefits and holiday time.

You will train drivers, ensure DOT compliance, and maintain strong client relationships. You must be 21+, hold a valid CDL-A with at least 1 year of experience, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Class A CDL driving experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Class A CDL and ability to pass pre-trip inspections.
• Able to lift 25–50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary Field Trainer, onboarding and coaching new drivers to ensure high performance and safety standards.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of daily loads while maintaining DOT compliance.
• Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with key customer accounts for service excellence.
• Provide frontline guidance to delivery team when the Supervisor is off-site.
• Lead the department’s safety culture by conducting pre-trip inspections and enforcing safety protocols.
• Lead and coach delivery team, unload and deliver products, and complete delivery paperwork.
• Operate a commercial vehicle safely and assist with equipment like pallet jacks when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Prior touch freight experience is required
• Pay: Starting at $30-$32 per hour
• Off on Major Holidays (8 Total)
• Must be 21 Year of Age
• Must have Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (At least 1yr experience required)

Responsibilities:

• Personnel Development: Act as the primary Field Trainer, onboarding and coaching new drivers to ensure high performance and safety standards.
• Operational Oversight: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of daily loads while maintaining strict compliance with ABC and DOT regulations.
• Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with key customer accounts to ensure service excellence.
• Strategic Support: Serve as a frontline resource for the delivery team, providing guidance and conflict resolution when the Supervisor is off-site.
• Safety Stewardship: Lead the department’s safety culture by conducting rigorous pre-trip inspections and enforcing company-wide safety protocols.

Preffered Qualifications:

• Licensure: Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Expertise: Significant experience in touch freight and high-volume delivery operations
• Leadership Aptitude: Proven ability to train, mentor, and communicate effectively with a diverse team.
• Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age with a commitment to professional growth and safety.

Other responsibilities:

• The CDL Driver supports the facilities’ supervisors with leading and coaching of delivery team members by facilitating individual and/or group training while also assisting the delivery team with technical equipment
• You will be responsible for unloading and delivering products to our customers as well as pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment and vehicle
• This role must have the ability to safely and professionally operate a commercial motor vehicle including conveyors and carts
• The CDL Driver will securely operate powered industrial trucks and/or material handling equipment such as an electric pallet jack and/or hand truck
• You will pick up returned products including payments and pallets as well as completing delivery and pick up paperwork
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

• 1 plus years of Class A commercial driving experience or equivalent driving experience in the military
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
• Must be able to lift products from 25 pounds to 50 pounds on a regular basis
