Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Process Engineer in Illinois to optimize ductile iron casting processes. You will analyze and improve yield and quality, run MAGMA simulations, and apply SolidWorks to validate changes before production.

You'll lead root-cause investigations, partner with production and quality teams across shifts, and help bring new technology into daily operations while contributing to a robust benefits package at an established company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Two or more years of hands on process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Foundry background required, ductile iron casting, process simulation or continuous improvement experience is a strong plus.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to work well across teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize ductile iron casting processes to improve yield, quality and consistency.
• Run casting simulations in MAGMA to validate process changes before they hit the floor.
• Lead root cause investigations on process deviations and drive corrective action to close them out.
• Partner with production and quality teams to hold process control across every shift.
• Support new product launches, testing and validation from a process standpoint.
• Bring new technology and process improvements into daily operations.
