Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Head Cashier to lead a team of cashiers and ensure outstanding customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

The role involves supervising cashiers, assisting with operational issues, hiring and training staff, and maintaining smooth register operations. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with 1–2 years of cashiering experience and leadership training. Pay ranges $18.70–$25.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction.
• Ability to operate front end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Able to perform repetitious tasks, multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry up to 30 lbs, 3 ft, for up to 50 hours without assistance.
• Must push/pull grocery carts up to 35 lbs for up to 50 hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Proactively visit registers and provide direction to Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks.
• Assist in customer assistance issues at the register and maintain service levels.
• Schedule and oversee proper meal and rest breaks according to policy and state law.
• Assist in hiring and training of new Cashiers and disciplinary steps as needed.
• Support a fast-paced store environment with customer focus and teamwork.
