Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Lakeland, TN is seeking a Head Cashier to lead a fast-paced front-end team, deliver outstanding customer service, and model exemplary leadership at the register. You’ll supervise cashiers, assist with operational issues, visit registers to guide staff, handle customer issues, and ensure breaks are scheduled per policy.

The role also involves hiring and training new cashiers and maintaining security and cleanliness across the store.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a HS diploma or GED and 1–2 years of cashiering experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor and strong customer interaction skills.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment: registers, calculator, scanner.
• Strong numerical skills and accuracy in cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with store operations.
• Proactively visit registers to guide cashiers and provide support.
• Address customer assistance issues at the register.
• Schedule and oversee meal and rest breaks per policy.
• Support hiring and training of new cashiers.
• Ensure security and loss prevention across exits.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms and parking lots.
