Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Store Associate to deliver responsive customer service, help shoppers locate and load merchandise, and answer questions about stock and warranties. You will support sales, operate the register, and ensure accurate cash handling throughout shifts.

In this role you will also assist in line vesting, stock register areas, and maintain store cleanliness and safety while helping customers and associates with pricing, loading, and checkout procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience if applicable.
• Minimal computer experience required (<1 year).
• Experience with retail technology like smartphones/tablets (<1 year).
• 1 year of retail cashier experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service according to Lowe's policies and programs.
• Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, and loading merchandise.
• Respond to customer questions and guide them through projects.
• Inform customers about stock, special orders, features, and warranty information.
• Train and coach associates in department duties and sales opportunities.
• Process sales, returns, and refunds at the register following guidelines.
• Handle cash and ensure proper change for register activities.
• Remove security tags, verify product information, and bag merchandise.
• Assist in line vesting and staffing checkout to ensure coverage.
• Prepare register area at shift start/end and stock supplies.
• Inspect returned merchandise for damage.
• Enter orders, print tickets, verify receipts, and sign loading tickets.
• Look up product info and price-match with competitors.
• Record store-use items and reconcile cash daily.
