Job summary

Lowe’s in Mooresville, IN is hiring a front-end associate to deliver friendly, accurate service at the register and throughout the store. You will help customers locate items, explain features, and demonstrate products while maintaining store policies.

Responsibilities include processing transactions, assisting with loading, ensuring price accuracy, stocking supplies, and supporting cashier leadership in daily operations. A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe’s customer service policies and programs
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
• Responds to customer questions by directing them to areas of the store and guiding them through projects when necessary
• Communicates information to customers regarding stock, special order merchandise, and warranty information
• Coaches, develops, provides feedback, and trains associates in departmental duties or sales opportunities
• Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds according to company guidelines
• Monitors cash in drawer and cash recycler levels to ensure accuracy
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages
• Enters and submits customer orders, prints order tickets, verifies receipts, and signs off on loading tickets
• Looks up product information and price matches to verify pricing
• Records items used in store on the store use lists
• Completes cash counting and daily reconciliation duties as assigned
• Detects signs of shoplifting and communicates to management
• Maintains store cleanliness and organization, adhering to safety and housekeeping standards
• Operates store equipment as needed for one’s role and department
• Performs other duties as assigned
