Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement.
• Less than 1 year experience using a computer.
• Less than 1 year experience using common retail technology (smartphones/tablets).
• 1 year retail experience as a cashier.
• Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service by following Lowe’s policies and programs.
• Assists customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Responds knowledgeably to customer and employee questions and guides them through projects.
• Provides price and product information, including warranty details.
• Coaches and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Processes sales transactions, returns, and refunds using the cash register.
• Acts to ensure checkout coverage and stock area readiness.
• Prepares register area at start and end of shift and checks equipment functionality.
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages and records items used in the store.
• Enters customer orders and verifies receipts and loading tickets.
• Looks up product information and price-matches competing products.
• Maintains store/use lists and completes daily reconciliation duties.
• Monitors cash in drawer and cash recycler to meet limits.
• Keeps aisles clear and adheres to safety and housekeeping standards.
• Operates store equipment as needed and handles other duties as assigned.
