Job summary

Hensel Phelps in El Paso, TX is seeking a skilled Carpenter to construct and repair building frameworks, including stairways, doorframes, partitions, rafters, cabinetry, siding, and drywall. The role requires precision with wood and metal work and reading blueprints.

Candidates should have at least 5 years of carpentry experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and OSHA 10 certification preferred. You will work with power tools and must provide safety footwear.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5 years’ experience as a Carpenter.
• OSHA 10 Certification preferred.
• CPR & First Aid Certification preferred.
• Must be able to read blueprints and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assist with the assembly and removal of forms that are used for the concrete installation.
• Use assorted power tools and small hand tools to assist with a variety of worksite projects.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to grasp project requirements and assign teams accordingly.
• Responsible for material management including inventory, distribution, and placement.
• Monitor project performance and report to management with updates.
• Coordinate with other trade partners’ foreman and superintendents as necessary.
• Promote a safe work environment and secure the jobsite at the end of each day.
• Promotes a safe work environment and communicates jobsite hazards; ensure proper storage of materials.
