Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a carpenter to construct and repair building frameworks, stairways, partitions, and related carpentry work on active projects. You’ll read blueprints, measure materials, and ensure alignment of floors and walls while maintaining a strong commitment to safety.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and reliable attendance. OSHA 10 and CPR certifications are preferred; safety footwear is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assembly and removal of concrete forms used for concrete installation.
• Build and install window-frames, doors, doorframes, staircases, partitions, millwork, trim, siding, drywall, and overall building frames.
• Ensure flooring, roofing, and drywall are leveled and compatible.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to grasp project requirements.
• Measure and cut materials; handle, transport, and set door frames.
• Load, unload, identify and distribute materials, machinery, and tools.
• Job shadow in area assignments to progress knowledge and skills.
• Assist with area housekeeping and maintain a safe jobsite.
