Eleven Western Builders is seeking an experienced Foreman Carpenter to lead carpentry crews on retail construction projects from start to finish in California and the western United States.

The role emphasizes ownership, problem-solving in the field, and maintaining high craftsmanship standards while keeping projects on schedule with safety as a priority. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial carpentry experience.
• 3+ years leading crews as foreman or lead carpenter.
• Experience with retail, commercial tenant improvements, or remodels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily activities of carpenters and apprentices.
• Plan work activities and sequence tasks to meet production goals.
• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and project schedules.
• Perform layout and ensure installations meet project requirements.
• Monitor workmanship and maintain high quality standards.
• Coordinate with project management, subcontractors, vendors, and store personnel.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and maintain a safe jobsite.
• Forecast material needs and communicate potential issues before they impact the schedule.
• Train and mentor less experienced team members.
• Help deliver projects on time and to customer expectations.
