Job summary

Eleven Western Builders, Inc. is seeking an experienced Foreman Carpenter to lead carpentry crews on retail construction projects across California. The role focuses on starting to finish project execution with emphasis on high-quality finish work and safety.

You will supervise daily activities, plan tasks, read plans, and coordinate with project teams to ensure on-schedule delivery and client satisfaction. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial carpentry experience.
• 3+ years leading crews or as Lead Carpenter/Foreman.
• Experience with retail, commercial, tenant improvement, or remodel construction.
• Strong skills in framing, drywall, finish carpentry, fixture installation, and millwork.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Proven ability to lead teams while maintaining productivity and quality.
• Experience coordinating multiple trades in active construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily activities of carpenters and assistant carpenters.
• Plan work activities and sequence tasks to meet production goals.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and project schedules.
• Perform layout and ensure installations meet project requirements.
• Monitor workmanship and maintain high quality standards.
• Coordinate with project management, subcontractors, vendors, and store personnel.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and maintain a safe jobsite.
• Forecast material needs and communicate potential issues before they impact the schedule.
• Train and mentor less experienced team members.
• Help deliver projects on time and to customer expectations.
