Job summary

Eleven Western Builders is seeking a Foreman Carpenter to lead carpentry crews on retail construction, remodels, and tenant improvements across California. You will plan, schedule, and supervise on-site activities to deliver high-quality craftsmanship.

The role requires strong blueprint reading, team leadership, and collaboration with project management, vendors, and store personnel to keep projects on track and safe.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial carpentry experience.
• 3+ years in lead roles such as Foreman or Lead Carpenter.
• Experience with retail, commercial tenant improvements, or remodels.
• Ability to read plans and interpret specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily activities of carpenters and assistants.
• Plan work activities and sequence tasks to meet production goals.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, and project schedules.
• Perform layout and ensure installations meet project requirements.
• Monitor workmanship and maintain high quality standards.
• Coordinate with project management, subs, vendors, and store personnel.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and maintain a safe jobsite.
• Forecast material needs and warn of potential issues.
• Train and mentor less experienced team members.
• Help deliver projects on time and to customer expectations.
