Job summary

Eleven Western Builders, a leader in retail construction across California and the western United States, seeks experienced Foreman Carpenters who lead by example and own projects from start to finish.

You will head carpentry crews on retail construction, tenant improvements, and remodels, coordinating with management, vendors, and store personnel to ensure high-quality workmanship and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial carpentry experience.
• 3+ years of experience leading crews or as a Lead Carpenter/Foreman.
• Experience with retail, commercial, tenant improvement, or remodel construction.
• Strong skills in framing, drywall, finish carpentry, fixture installation, and millwork.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Proven ability to lead teams while maintaining productivity and quality.
• Experience coordinating multiple trades in active construction environments.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel and stay overnight as project schedules require.
• Commitment to safety, accountability, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily activities of carpenters and assistant carpenters.
• Plan work activities and sequence tasks to maintain production goals.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and project schedules.
• Perform layout and ensure installations meet project requirements.
• Monitor workmanship and maintain high quality standards.
• Coordinate with project management, subcontractors, vendors, and store personnel.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and maintain a safe jobsite.
• Forecast material needs and communicate potential issues before they impact the schedule.
• Train and mentor less experienced team members.
• Help deliver projects on time and to customer expectations.
