Job summary

Eleven Western Builders is seeking a Foreman Carpenter to lead carpentry crews on retail construction projects across California and the western United States. This role requires taking ownership, solving in-field challenges, and maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial carpentry experience.
• 3+ years of experience leading crews or as a Foreman/Lead Carpenter.
• Experience with retail, commercial, tenant improvement, or remodel construction.
• Strong skills in framing, drywall, finish carpentry, fixture installation, and millwork.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily activities of carpenters and assistant carpenters.
• Plan work activities and sequence tasks to maintain production goals.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and project schedules.
• Perform layout and ensure installations meet project requirements.
• Monitor workmanship and maintain high quality standards.
• Coordinate with project management, subcontractors, vendors, and store personnel.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and maintain a safe jobsite.
• Forecast material needs and communicate issues before they impact the schedule.
• Train and mentor less experienced team members.
• Help deliver projects on time and to customer expectations.
