Job summary

North Shore Compassionate Care, LLC in Highland Park, IL seeks a Lead Caregiver to model high-quality in-home care and serve as a resource for fellow caregivers in the field.

You will deliver direct client care, mentor newer caregivers, and help set standards for care plans, documentation, and professional conduct across assigned clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of in-home caregiving experience
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care, including personal care, mobility assistance, meal preparation, and companionship
• Mentor and support newer caregivers, including shadowing and on-the-job coaching
• Serve as the first point of contact for client and family concerns, escalating issues to the Field Supervisor
• Assist with care plan implementation and report changes in client condition promptly
• Complete accurate, timely documentation and help cover shifts when needed

We are looking for a Lead Caregiver to join our team. As a Lead Caregiver, you will deliver exceptional in-home care while serving as a role model and resource for fellow caregivers. You will help set the standard for quality, consistency, and professionalism across your assigned clients.
