Job summary

Family Resource Home Care is seeking a Lead Caregiver in Washington to support clients with daily living activities, provide companionship, and assist with transfers and mobility. You may take on short-notice shifts, including training roles for new caregivers, and be scheduled Thursday through Tuesday 9AM to 6PM with $22.75 per hour.

We offer paid travel time, orientation and ongoing training, and staff support across branches.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age or older.
• Ability to pass state and national background checks.
• Valid driver’s license with auto insurance and clean driving record.
• NAC/CNA or HCA license preferred but not required.
• At least one year of home care, AFH, hospital, or nursing home experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with transfers.
• Smartphone with AxisCare app access and use.
• WA state requirements may require training enrollment if unlicensed.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities and personal care.
• Perform household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal prep.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in activities and hobbies.
• Transport clients to errands or appointments using own vehicle.
• Assist with gait belt or transfer equipment and monitor client condition.
• Communicate notable changes to supervising staff and document accordingly.

Lead Caregiver Summary

Our Lead Caregivers are experienced individuals who help with our most critical shifts. This includes but is not limited to fill-ins, new clients and training shifts with new caregivers. The primary responsibilities include the Caregiver Job Duties listed below. Our Lead Caregivers must be available to work on short notice during their assigned availability times with clients in any of their assigned branches service areas.

$22.75

Caregiver Job Duties

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Transporting clients for errands or appointments in your car
• Assisting with gait belt or Hoyer transfers
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition

Additional Information

• Washington only – If you do not have a current HCA or CNA license, you will be required to enroll in our HCA training program we offer (due to state requirements). You will be able to complete the training while working and will have 120 days to complete it.
• Oregon only – If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings!

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to pass a state and national background check
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance and clean driving record
• Active state NAC/CNA or HCA license preferred but not required
• One year experience in home care, AFH, hospital or nursing home setting
• Ability to lift to 50lbs
• Ability to provide more than companionship care and work with different care levels
• Smart phone with ability to download and utilize the AxisCare app
• WA Only – Current valid CEs if you are an HCA
