Job summary

Family Resource Home Care in Oregon City, OR is seeking a Lead Caregiver to support our most critical shifts and train new caregivers. You will cover fill-ins, new client visits, and on-call hours across assigned branches, with short-notice availability.

Responsibilities include guiding care teams, performing daily living activities, transportation, and monitoring client well‑being. You will receive paid orientation, travel time, and ongoing training as part of a supportive, growth‑driven

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to pass state and national background check.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• One year of home care, AFH, hospital, or nursing home experience.
• Smartphone with AxisCare app access.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (household chores, meals, bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Provide companionship and engage in daily activities and hobbies.
• Transport clients to errands or appointments using your vehicle.
• Support transfers with gait belt or Hoyer as needed.
• Monitor client condition and report changes to supervising staff.

Education

Lead Caregiver Summary

Our Lead Caregivers are experienced individuals who help with our most critical shifts. This includes but is not limited to fill-ins, new clients and training shifts with new caregivers. The primary responsibilities include the Caregiver Job Duties listed below. Our Lead Caregivers must be available to work on short notice during their assigned availability times with clients in any of their assigned branches service areas.

Lead Caregiver Schedule: On-call Thurs-MonDay shift availability ex. 6am-6am / 7am-7pm availability

Lead Caregiver Pay Rate: $23.50

Caregiver Job Duties

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Transporting clients for errands or appointments in your car
• Assisting with gait belt or Hoyer transfers
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition

Additional Information

• Washington only – If you do not have a current HCA or CNA license, you will be required to enroll in our HCA training program we offer (due to state requirements). You will be able to complete the training while working and will have 120 days to complete it.
• Oregon only – If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings!

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to pass a state and national background check
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record
• Active state NAC/CNA or HCA license preferred but not requiredOne year experience in home care, AFH, hospital or nursing home setting
• Ability to lift to 50lbs
• Ability to provide more than companionship care and work with different care levels
• Smart phone with ability to download and utilize the AxisCare app
• WA Only – Current valid CEs if you are an HCA
