Sunrise Senior Living in Chevy Chase, MD is seeking a Lead Caregiver to act as the shift leader, delivering high-quality resident care while mentoring the caregiving team.

You will supervise assignments, provide hands-on support, and coach staff on documentation, safety, and hospitality. This role emphasizes accountability and compassionate service in a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; age 18+.
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications required.
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills.
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage.
• Provide hands-on ADL support when needed.
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards.
• Review charting and ensure alignment with ISP.
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly.
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members.
