Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Lead Caregiver to serve as shift leader, ensuring exceptional resident care while coaching the caregiving team. You will lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage.

The role combines hands-on ADL support with frontline leadership, mentoring new staff, and ensuring safety and compliance across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; age 18+.
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications.
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills.
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage.
• Provide hands-on ADL support when needed.
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards.
• Review charting and ensure alignment with ISP.
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly.
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members.
• Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions.
