Job summary

Wolfoods seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a rural US summer camp. The position is on-site, seasonal (May–Sept), and demands 6 days per week at around 70 hours. You will lead prep and production, ensure allergen safety, and manage staff.

Responsibilities include supervising kitchen operations, ensuring scratch cooking quality, inventory control, and collaboration with camp leadership. On-site housing is provided with competitive pay and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a kitchen leadership role.
• Scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification before start date.
• Willing to live on-site in a rustic setting and work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols and sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
