Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced, high-energy Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our rural summer camps. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day part, manage staff, and uphold allergen safety.

This on-site, live-in role requires readiness to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume camp kitchen and to work the minimum 6-day/70-hour week during the May–Sept season.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership, cooking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ready to live on-site in a rustic setting and work a demanding minimum 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep and production for designated day part; ensure scratch cooking and timely meal service.
• Strict allergen and safety compliance; maintain Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
