Job summary

Edgewater Casino Resort is seeking a Lead Cage Cashier to support the Cage Supervisor and leadership by guiding frontline cashiers during shifts. You will handle transactions, uphold internal controls, and deliver high guest service while training and addressing escalated issues.

Responsibilities include supervising cash handling, ensuring procedural compliance, and maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced casino environment.

Qualifications

1 year of experience in a high-volume casino cage or cashier environment.
Strong math, reconciliation, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to guide and motivate peers in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable and organized with ability to prioritize tasks and support shift coordination.

Responsibilities

Assist with training and serve as a resource to team members.
Support daily operations by monitoring work areas and service flow for quality and efficiency.
Act as shift lead and escalation point for team or guest concerns.
Provide direction to cashiers to ensure adherence to procedures and standards.
Monitor accuracy of transactions involving cash, coins, checks, and promotions.
Balance funds and maintain a clean workstation; report discrepancies promptly.
Operate sorting/counting equipment and key control systems; support cage cashier duties.
