A leading company is seeking a lead structured cabling technician in Raleigh to oversee installations of low-voltage and fiber optic cables for various projects. The role requires technical proficiency and leadership skills, with excellent pay and benefits.
*Job Description:*
Our client is working on multiple medium to large projects in the NC Triangle area. They need a lead structured cabling technician to lead projects, read blueprints, and supervise 1-2 helpers. All work will be performed in commercial or industrial environments.
*Job Duties:*
* Install, terminate, and test low voltage and fiber optic cables.
* Route cables through conduit, above ceilings, and between floors as per specifications.
* Read and comprehend technical schematics, operation manuals, and maintenance instructions.
* Identify color codes for 568A, 568B, 6 and 12 strand fiber, 25 and 50 pair cables.
* Provide or relocate cable and modular connections.
* Assist in installing communication hardware.
* Complete projects within budget, on time, and safely.
* Maintain high standards of quality, professionalism, and customer relations.
* Submit all paperwork on time.
* Follow all safety requirements.
* Conduct field training and evaluate problems using documented procedures.
* Provide timely feedback to customers and management.
* Escalate unresolved issues and work with third-party vendors for solutions.
* Recognize recurring issues and suggest improvements.
* Supervise and train Level 1 and 2 technicians.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

*Additional Skills & Qualifications:*
Technicians need to supply their own hand tools. Steel toe boots, hard hat, and vest are required.

*Pay and Benefits:*
$15.00 - $30.00/hr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation, EAP, PTO, and more. Eligibility depends on employment status and other factors.
