Job description

*Job Description:*
Our client is working on multiple medium to large projects in the NC Triangle area. They need a lead structured cabling technician to lead projects, read blueprints, and supervise 1-2 helpers. All work will be performed in commercial or industrial environments.

*Job Duties:*

• Install, terminate, and test low voltage cables and fiber optic cables.
• Route cables through conduit, above ceilings, and between floors according to project specifications.
• Read and understand technical schematics, operation manuals, and maintenance instructions.
• Identify color codes for 568A, 568B, 6-strand fiber, 12-strand fiber, 25-pair, and 50-pair cables.
• Provide or relocate cables and modular connections.
• Assist in the installation of communication hardware.
• Complete projects within budget, on time, and safely.
• Maintain high standards of quality, professionalism, and customer relations.
• Submit all paperwork promptly.
• Follow all safety requirements specific to each project and company policies.
• Conduct field training and evaluate second-level problems using documented procedures and tools.
• Provide timely feedback to customers and management, documenting issues and statuses accurately.
• Escalate unresolved requests to third-level technicians or third-party vendors and develop resolution plans.
• Recognize recurring issues and suggest improvements to prevent future problems.
• Supervise and train Level 1 and Level 2 technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

*Pay and Benefits:*
The pay range is $15.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility and availability depend on employment status and location.
