This role involves leading projects, supervising technicians, and ensuring high-quality installation and testing of communication cables. *Job Description:*
Our client is working on multiple medium to large projects in the NC Triangle area. They need a lead structured cabling technician to lead projects, read blueprints, and supervise 1-2 helpers. All work will be performed in commercial or industrial environments.
*Job Duties:*
* Install, terminate, and test low voltage and fiber optic cables.
* Route cables through conduit, above ceilings, and between floors according to specifications.
* Read and understand technical schematics, manuals, and procedures.
* Identify color codes for 568A, 568B, 6-strand fiber, 12-strand fiber, 25-pair, and 50-pair cables.
* Provide or relocate cables and modular connections.
* Assist in installing communications hardware.
* Complete projects on time, within budget, and safely.
* Maintain high standards of quality and professionalism.
* Submit all paperwork promptly.
* Follow safety requirements.
* Conduct field training and evaluate problems using documented procedures.
* Provide feedback to customers and management.
* Escalate unresolved issues and work with third-party vendors.
* Recognize recurring issues and suggest improvements.
* Supervise and train Level 1 and 2 technicians.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Technicians must supply their own hand tools. Steel toe boots, hard hat, and vest are required.

*Pay and Benefits:*
$15.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility for benefits depends on employment status. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, critical illness, accident, hospital coverage, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation, EAP, PTO, vacation, and sick leave.
