Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. seeks a Chief Building Engineer Supervisor to supervise a maintenance team managing operations for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings. You will lead planning, coordination, and repairs in a fast-paced environment.

You will develop preventive maintenance programs, manage budgets, and mentor staff while ensuring safety and high-quality outcomes across disciplines. This role is based in a facilities environment requiring strong leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5–8 years of related experience; combination considered.
• Must meet physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting 50 lbs+.
• Shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Track staff training and development, conduct evaluations, and coach new employees.
• Coordinate daily team activities, set schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and safety procedure manuals.
• Estimate material and labor costs for work orders and projects.
• Maintain budgets for facilities maintenance and respond to emergencies.
• Lead by example and mentor across multi-discipline teams.
• Communicate complex ideas effectively to influence stakeholders.
