Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Cincinnati, Ohio, is seeking a Chief Building Engineer to perform complex preventive maintenance and preventive repairs on buildings, systems, vehicles, equipment and grounds.

You will lead operations, assign work orders, and provide technical and procedural training to coworkers and subcontractors, arranging for subcontractors as needed, while ensuring safety and compliance with all codes and directives.

Responsibilities

• Follow all applicable codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Lead operations, assign work orders, and train coworkers and subcontractors; arrange for subcontractors as needed.
• Consult with clients to schedule preventive maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Plan preventive maintenance to ensure building machinery and systems meet design specs.
• Check building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing for proper operation.
• Oversee and inspect work by engineering staff to ensure completeness and condition.
• Respond to emergencies and request help when needed.
• Apply advanced knowledge to develop better methods for objectives.
• Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge within the function.
• Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values.
• Influence stakeholders to align with objectives.
