Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. seeks a Chief Building Engineer Supervisor to lead a maintenance team responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing ongoing operations across a facility, campus, or portfolio in Jacksonville, FL.

You will develop preventive maintenance programs, manage budgets, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality work while applying advanced knowledge across disciplines to meet CBRE standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 5–8 years of related experience.
• Shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and mathematical skills.
• Able to lead and coach a diverse maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach staff; conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching.
• Coordinate daily team activities; schedule work and assign tasks.
• Develop and communicate preventive maintenance programs and safety procedures.
• Ensure timely, high-quality completion of work with proper information and materials.
• Develop cost estimates for work orders and maintenance activities.
• Establish and manage facilities maintenance budgets.
• Respond to emergencies and escalate issues as needed.
• Share expertise across disciplines and mentor others.
