Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Chief Building Engineer Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings. You will lead the team, manage budgets, and develop preventive maintenance and safety procedures to ensure high-quality, timely work.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, budgeting acumen, and the ability to coordinate complex tasks across disciplines while mentoring staff and driving CBRE’s service standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade diploma with 5-8 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track the training and development of staff; conduct performance evaluations and coaching opportunities; oversee recruiting and hiring of new employees.
• Coordinate and manage daily team activities; establish schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff; set deadlines and mentor as needed.
• Develop, implement and communicate preventive maintenance programs and safety procedure manuals.
• Ensure mechanics and technicians have information and materials needed to complete work on time and to high quality.
• Develop cost estimates for work orders, preventive maintenance, systems and construction projects; maintain facilities budgets.
• Respond to emergencies and seek help when needed; apply advanced knowledge to improve methods.
