Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Chief Building Engineer Supervisor to lead a facilities maintenance team across a portfolio of buildings.

You will plan, coordinate, and manage ongoing maintenance and repair operations, ensuring high-quality, timely work and adherence to CBRE standards. You will develop preventive maintenance programs, manage staffing, budgets, and vendor relations, and mentor staff to deliver safe and efficient building operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma; 5–8 years of related experience.
• Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to lift/carry heavy loads and meet physical requirements.
• Valid driver's license and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Track training and development of staff; conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
• Coordinate and manage daily team activities; set schedules and assign tasks.
• Develop, implement, and communicate preventive maintenance programs and safety procedures.
• Develop cost estimates for work orders, PM activities, and projects.
• Establish and maintain maintenance budgets; respond to emergencies.
• Mentor staff; lead by example and align with CBRE values.
• Communicate complex ideas and influence stakeholders to achieve objectives.
