CBRE is seeking an experienced Chief Building Engineer to lead facility operations at a 250-acre mixed-use campus in Pittsfield, MA. You will oversee building systems, maintenance operations, infrastructure improvements, and capital projects while guiding engineering staff and contractors.

The role emphasizes operational reliability, safety, and asset performance, with responsibilities spanning HVAC, plumbing, life safety, and compliance.

Qualifikationen

• 5-8 years of related experience; supervisory, maintenance leadership, plant operations, or facilities management preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, facilities, plant engineering, building operations, or related environments.
• Strong project management experience, including coordinating contractors and driving project completion.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and life safety systems.
• Advanced organizational, communication, and leadership skills with cross-team collaboration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Aufgaben

• Lead day-to-day engineering, maintenance, and facility operations for a 250-acre campus.
• Supervise engineering staff and contractors, assign work, and provide training.
• Develop scopes of work and manage facility, infrastructure, and capital projects from planning through execution.
• Partner with onsite stakeholders to support operational goals and maintain a safe, reliable environment.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and extend asset life.
• Oversee HVAC, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building infrastructure operations.
• Maintain site records, drawings, and historical documentation for planning and decisions.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Respond to emergencies and lead troubleshooting for complex facility issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and customer satisfaction.
• Lead by example and mentor team members across disciplines.
