Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer in Massachusetts to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and safety-critical components. The role supports preventive maintenance programs and ensures compliance with codes and client requirements.

You will contribute to energy efficiency and safety initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams and following CBRE standards and policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of related experience.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred; certifications/licenses may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
• Wastewater Operator Certificate required or will need to attain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical, plumbing, structural, and control systems.
• Ensure facilities comply with applicable codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintain an energy management program to optimize efficiency of building systems.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Handle hazardous materials following safety policies and maintain a clean, safe workplace.
• Review inspections of building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) to meet design specs.
