Job summary

ECS Group of Companies, a Florida-based building science and infrastructure consultant, is seeking a Building Enclosure Senior Project Architect in Sarasota, FL. You will manage complex enclosure projects, mentor junior staff, and provide senior technical leadership across investigations, testing, commissioning, and design reviews.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, interface with clients, and ensure adherence to IBC, ASHRAE, ASTM, SMACNA, and CSI standards while delivering

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architectural Engineering or Architecture (NCARB preferred).
5+ years of building enclosure consulting experience, including testing, BECx, design review, or forensic assessments.
Registered Architect licensure required; IIBEC certifications preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Lead building enclosure projects from initiation to completion, ensuring technical quality and client satisfaction.
Direct site inspections, testing plans, and field investigations; interpret drawings and prepare CAD drafts as needed.
Present findings to clients and lead project meetings; manage budgets, proposals, and change orders.
