Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. in Charleston, WV seeks a seasoned Superintendent to lead large Heavy Highway, roadway, and bridge projects.

You will supervise skilled trades crews, partner with the Operations Manager and Project Manager, and drive safety, production, and profitability on site. The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, 6+ years of field management, and bridge/highway experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent technical experience progressing through the ranks as a Journeyman to a Foreman to a Superintendent.
• (6+) years similar construction Field Management experience.
• Bridge/Highway experience is preferred and a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage several Foreman on conducting work safely, productively, and focusing on quality.
• Set a Safety 24/7 culture for your crews.
• Assists the Project Manager in creating the project schedule.
• Develop 90-day and 3-week schedules for crews.
• Conduct pre-planning and goal setting with crews.
• Oversee costs associated with your work items.
• Coordinate manpower, heavy equipment, tooling and material needs for crews.
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors.
