Job summary

The New York City Department of Transportation, Division of Bridges, is seeking an Administrative Engineer (NM) to lead engineering review and in-house design activities for bridge foundations. You will develop foundation calculations and construction details to meet AASHTO LRFD and city standards, while coordinating with geotechnical and structural teams.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS Professional Engineer license required.
• Six years of full-time experience in civil/structural engineering with at least two years in executive, managerial, or administrative capacity.

Responsibilities

• Perform difficult analyses and design of bridge foundation systems (drilled shafts, piles, micropiles, footings, retaining structures).
• Lead engineering reviews and provide technical oversight and QA to junior engineers.
• Review contractor submittals, respond to RFIs, and assist during construction.
