Job summary

The City of New York, Department of Transportation, Division of Bridges, seeks an Administrative Engineer (NM) to serve as a technical lead for in-house design of bridge foundations and related structures. You will oversee complex analyses, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior engineers to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions for iconic NYC bridge projects.

Qualifications

• New York State Professional Engineer license is required.
• Six years of full-time experience in civil/chemical/electrical/environmental/mechanical engineering or plan examining work, with at least two years in executive/administrative capacity.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and design of bridge foundations (drilled shafts, piles, micropiles, footings).
• Develop design calculations, drawings, specs, and construction details per AASHTO LRFD and standards.
• Provide technical oversight, QA, and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Review contractor submittals, RFIs, and support construction engineering.
