Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Major Crossings Design-Build Principal to lead pursuit, planning, and execution of large bridge and transportation projects across the US. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, expand Jacobs' Design-Build presence, and maintain strong client relationships.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years of experience on complex projects with DB or alternative delivery, P.E. licensure, and strong leadership abilities. This role offers hybrid work across Jacobs offices and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• P.E. licensure is required.
• 15+ years in complex highway/bridge projects.
• Design-Build/alternative delivery experience on large projects (>$500M).
• QA/QC program experience is required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design management for large Design-Build and alternative delivery projects.
• Represent Jacobs at client meetings and industry events.
• Mentor bridge/highway design managers and promote best practices.
• Oversee pursuit activities including proposals and ATC development.
• Coordinate with contractors, agencies, and owners for project success.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and project performance across disciplines.
• Ensure QA/QC and risk management are integral to delivery.
