Job summary

RRD is seeking a Bindery Operator (Cutter, Folder, or Stitcher) for 1st shift in Smyrna, TN. You will set up, adjust and operate bindery equipment and support a production team to deliver printed materials.

This full-time role requires reading work orders, coordinating multiple machines, maintaining quality, and mentoring colleagues. RRD offers competitive hourly pay, benefits, and opportunities for skill development.

Qualifications

Must read and interpret written work orders to determine machine operations.
Able to calculate distances and clearances for equipment setup.
Skilled in using standard and specialized bindery tools and machines.
Knowledge of setup, operation, and maintenance of bindery equipment.
Coordinate and supervise multiple work stations and personnel.
Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Set up, adjust and operate a variety of bindery machines (cutters, folders, stitchers).
Inspect equipment for safety and maintain productive workflow.
Direct crew through all aspects of production and ensure on-time output.
Monitor quality, output and productivity across the bindery process.
Train and mentor new and existing employees on policies and best practices.
Maintain accuracy with orders and ensure dimensional accuracy per specs.
