Qualifications

• Knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, equipment and safety requirements.
• Ability to read and understand job specifications to determine set-up materials.
• Knowledge of press capabilities to determine optimal use and adjustments.
• Skill in using micrometer to mount and align printing plates.
• Experience with routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment.
• Ability to adjust feeder and feed board and timing of stops.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain single or multi-color offset press.
• Perform make-ready tasks and inspect plates/cylinders for positioning and quality.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, and perform minor repairs as required.
