Job summary

RRD is seeking experienced Folder, Cutter and Stitcher Operators for our Macedonia Commercial Print facility in the United States. The 1st shift (6am-2pm, Mon-Fri) and 2nd shift (11am-9pm, Mon-Thu) offer overtime with a paid differential on 2nd shift.

Responsibilities include setting up and operating diverse bindery equipment, inspecting safety, coordinating stations, and overseeing production quality and output. Minimum 2+ years of experience required.

Qualifications

2+ years experience operating bindery equipment.
Familiar with paper weights, sizes, kinds and colors to identify paper conditions.
Ability to use standard and specialized tools to adjust and maintain bindery machines.
Skill in making adjustments to powered machines using handtools from the manufacturer.
Ability to read and interpret written work orders and maintain dimensional accuracy.
Knowledge of operating procedures for bindery equipment (folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, binding/gluing).
Working knowledge of setup, adjustments, capabilities and limitations of folding, collating, cutting equipment.

Responsibilities

Set up, adjust and operate binding machines with multiple heads and attachments (inkjet, mailing devices, case making & decorating equipment, folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills).
Set up automatic bindery machines with multiple functions (power cutters, collators, gatherers, folders, speed binder).
Inspect equipment for safety issues.
Coordinate multiple work stations across a single machine.
Direct crew through all aspects of production.
Monitor quality, output and productivity.
Assist in training and supporting new and existing team members.
