SunStrong Management is seeking a BESS/PV Engineer to serve as the owner-side technical authority for solar PV and battery energy storage delivery. You will review designs, interrogate contractor tests, and establish the technical position for project decisions, collaborating with EPCs, OEMs, utilities, AHJs, and field service partners.

The role emphasizes independent technical judgment; you will recalc capacity tests, assess protection coordination, and ensure test data matches as-built

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Five or more years of solar PV and/or battery energy storage experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; EIT with defined path considered.
• Working knowledge of PV and BESS system design and protection.
• Ability to read and interrogate electrical single-lines and equipment specs.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsabilités

• Lead technical review of PV and BESS design packages against SSM standards.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and change requests with reasoned dispositions.
• Define inspection and test plans for PV, BESS, and MV scopes; witness tests.
• Recalculate capacity and performance test results independently.
• Verify EMS/plant controller behavior against interconnection agreements.
• Produce post-completion performance analyses at 30/90/180 days.
• Support safety, compliance and documentation throughout projects.
