Job summary

SunStrong Management LLC seeks a BESS/PV Engineer to provide owner-side technical authority for solar PV and battery storage delivery. You will review designs, interrogate contractor results, and establish the technical position for project gates with EPCs, utilities, AHJs, and service partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required; mechanical/related disciplina considered with relevant experience.
• 5+ years of solar PV and/or BESS related work in design, owner’s engineering, commissioning, or performance engineering.
• PE license preferred; EIT with licensure path considered.
• Proficiency with PV and BESS system design and associated software.
• Experience with re-powering, remediation, or inherited in-flight construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical reviews of PV and BESS designs against contract scope and SSM standards.
• Define ITP content for PV, BESS, and MV scopes; witness tests as assigned.
• Evaluate nonconformances and change orders with technical reasoning.
• Review equipment selection against fleet standard and warranty terms.
• Maintain design records and turnover documentation.
