Job summary

Irby Construction Company is seeking a Superintendent - BESS to supervise utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System construction on site. You will lead foremen, craft personnel, and subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence across civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and controls scopes.

Qualifications

Experience leading field crews on utility-scale construction projects.
Strong knowledge of safety protocols and field quality control.
Ability to coordinate multi-discipline teams (civil, structural, electrical, controls).

Responsibilities

Lead crews and foremen across civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and controls scopes.
Organize crews based on priorities and construction plan.
Monitor safety, quality, production, and schedule progression on site.
Prepare manpower, equipment, and tooling plans; adjust as conditions change.
Maintain superintendent reports, time sheets, and field documentation.
Lead weekly foreman meetings and Owner/Project meetings.
Direct field installation of BESS components and ensure alignment with drawings and OEM specs.
Coordinate subcontractor activities and maintain safe, productive workflow.
