Job summary

Irby Construction Company seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support planning and scheduling for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. You will coordinate resources, assist with cost control, and ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards across project phases.

You will interface with Project Managers, Superintendents, and design teams to maintain schedules and budgets, preparing labor and material estimates and maintaining project records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction administration, project coordination, or project management.
• Experience with BESS, renewable energy, or high-voltage electrical construction projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with BESS construction projects from start to finish, supporting quality and specification compliance.
• Review engineering drawings, design documents, and technical specs before project execution.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and engineering teams to resolve gaps in design versus field execution.
• Support project planning, budget tracking, and resource allocation; help with meetings and documentation.
• Assist with scheduling, daily work plans, and change requests.
• Track project costs, billings, and schedules; report variances to PM.
