Three Trails Behavioral Hospital in Independence, MO is seeking a dedicated Lead Mental Health Technician to join our day team. This role combines direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, serving as a resource to staff in a fast-paced, high-acuity behavioral health setting.

The Lead MHT will provide direct patient care, act as a shift resource, and collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to support patient care plans, while helping maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's or bachelor's in psychology, social work, or related field preferred.
• Previous behavioral health, psychiatric care, or healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Ability to work 12 hour shifts during the day.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care and supervision in a behavioral health setting.
• Act as a shift resource for MHT staff, offering guidance and support as needed.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment at all times.
• Conduct routine patient safety checks and observations.
• Support patients with daily living activities as appropriate.
• Respond appropriately to situations and behavioral escalations.
• Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to support patient care plans.
