This role blends hands-on client care with leadership responsibilities, requiring trauma-informed practice, strong documentation, and collaboration with the clinical team to de-escalate crises and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, or a closely related field is preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED with at least two years of responsible employment history may qualify.
• Experience in human services, behavioral health, or substance use treatment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Behavioral Health Technicians on shift with guidance and real-time coaching.
• Supervise daily activities of clients/patients ensuring safety and therapeutic engagement.
• Model professional boundaries and trauma-informed care practices.
• De-escalate crisis situations under leadership direction using approved techniques.
• Facilitate education, skill-building, and recreational groups as scheduled.
• Assist with training, onboarding, and supervision of staff and prepare curricula.
